Our native English speaking professional actors and performers have extensive experience in performing and teaching Shakespeare. Mostly however, they share an infectious love for his work, and are keen to share it with your students.

introducing shakespeare

- Performance: To Sleep, Perchance to Dream

This workshop was created to prepare students for the performance To Sleep, Perchance To Dream, but is also a good introduction to Shakespeare if not paired with the performance. Students become familiar with some of Shakespeare's most famous lines, from five of his plays. 

shakespeare in modern context

- Performance: Wherefore Are Thou
​​
A workshop for slightly older secondary school students, which takes lines and speeches from several of Shakespeare's plays and sonnets, and aims to help students make the connection between Shakespeare's words and their own emotions and lives. Making the text their own, we also find ways in which to express the text in their own ways. In the past this has resulted in students rapping sonnets while others danced to the words.

exploring a play

We offer full-day or half-day workshops
​on any Shakespeare play you like.
We work with the students in groups, exploring pieces of the play through performance, and deepening their understanding of the words, rhythms and context of the piece.

performing shakespeare

During this full-day workshop, students work in groups on different scenes (either random or specific to a play),
resulting in a small-scale performance at the end of the day.
​The workshop can be adapted to fit your schedule.
